Freezing temperatures arrive on the South Plains

A frost advisory was in effect last night, and temperatures plunged before freezing at a number of locations around the South Plains. Readings in the upper 20s were reported at Friona, Dimmitt and places along the Caprock.  Lubbock’s temperature held above freezing just before dawn.
