Tech tennis ace Escobar gets ticket to indoor championships in NY

Texas Tech tennis player Gonzalo Escobar beat Rice’s Harry Fowler 6-2 and 6-1 yesterday to claim the men’s singles title at the USTA/ITA regional championships. It automatically qualifies Escobar for the intercollegiate indoor championships to be held beginning November 4th in Flushing, New York.
