Voting Info 2010

Being aware of what items are on your ballot may make voting easier come Election Day.

There will be two items in the District 84 race.

The first item, at the beginning of the ballot, will be for the end of Isett’s term through December 31st.

The second district 84 item will be later in the ballot and will determine the candidate to replace Isett in a full two-year term this coming January.

In addition to these items, your ballot may have options to vote on the LISD bond issue, the Water District issue, County Commissioners, and Slaton Bond Issues.

Election Officials discourage voting a straight ticket because you will miss voting on bond issues and select races.

They suggest you vote early and know your precinct to determine how your ballot will appear.

Voters may vote at any station, regardless of their precinct.

For information regarding candidates in particular races, visit http://lwvlubbock.org or contact Chris Winn at GOP Headquarters or Pam Brink at Lubbock Democrat Headquarters.

Early voting will run Oct. 18-29. Election day is Nov. 2

Early voting is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on all days except Oct. 24th, when it will be open from 1-6pm.

If you don’t know your precinct call the Elections Office at 775-1868 during regular business hours.
