City of Lubbock Begins Procedures to Remove Homeless from Mahon Library and Civic Center

The City of Lubbock is getting tough with the homeless in downtown.

District 1 Councilman Victor Hernandez announced this morning that notices have been placed at both the Mahon Library and Civic Center stating that “personal property” stored or left at either facility must be removed by October 18th.

After 12 Noon on the 18th, LPD officers will seize all property left behind on the grounds of the Mahon Library and Civic Center.

The property will be placed in temporary storage for 60 days and if not claimed, will be disposed of.
