Tech’s Whitacre College of Engineering Receives $1.75 Million in Recent NSF Grants

Texas Tech’s College of Engineering has been awarded nearly two million dollars in recent federal grants.

The Edward E. Whitacre College of Engineering has garnered about $1.75 million from the National Science Foundation over nine grants.

Two of the nine awards are rapid response grants to support research related to the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and one seeks to lengthen the life of wind turbines. Other grants include funds for computer science, nanotechnology, and chemical engineering.
