Lubbock Man Receives Sentence for Defrauding Lubbock Bank

A Lubbock man received his prison sentence today after previously pleading guilty to one count of mortgage fraud against a Lubbock bank.  50 year-old Andrew Kent Clark was sentenced to 14 months in federal prison by Judge Sam Cummings.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Clark provided false documents to City Bank Texas and City Bank Mortgage showing he had over $1.7 million dollars in assets in June of 2008.  As a result of providing the false documents, Clark received a loan over $500,000 dollars to build a home in Llano Estates.

Also, as part of Clark’s sentence he will be under five years of supervised release and is ordered to pay over $45,000 dollars in restitution to City Bank Texas.
