Area Republican women’s gala will feature widely seen Republican strategist

A highly visible Republican strategist is scheduled to speak at the Lubbock Area Republican Women’s second “Pink Elephant Gala” is coming up Friday, October 1st.. Bradley A. Blakeman is seen regularly on  FOX News, MSNBC and other media outlets. Blakeman was a senior staff member of President George W. Bush and is credited with having played a key role in the Florida Recount of the vote in the Bush-Gore election. The Pink Elephant Gala is a major fundraiser for the Republican women’s activities and endeavors, which include scholarship awards to area college students. The event will be held at 8 p.m. October 1st at Texas Tech’s Merket Alumni Center. Individual tickets are $100. Prices for tables of eight begin at $750. Reservations may be made by calling 789-8587.
