Outbreak of fire among hay bales in East Lubbock seen suspicious

Lubbock fire officials are investigating the cause of flames that broke out last night among hay bales at a business site in East Lubbock. The blaze was considered suspicious since it was not clear how it had begun among a stack of about the dozen round hay bales next to a barn containing more hay. The fire was reported around 7:15 p.m at Caprock Enterprises, located at 1205 East 50th Street. A company tractor helped move bales to keep the fire from spreading.
