Christian Women’s Job Corps Helps Women Find Jobs In Difficult Economic Climate

Denise Kopriva is the executive director of the Christian Women’s Job Corps, a ministry that helps women in need, and that means helping them find work.

In an interview for This Week in Lubbock, a public service program on this station, Kopriva was asked how hard is it for a woman to find a job in the current economic climate.

“To find a job is not as difficult as it might seem,” Kopriva said.  ” To find a job where they can make a living off of it and provide for their children is another story.  When you’re working for minimum wage, you can’t provide those needs.”

Kopriva says she wants women to have a career, not just a job, and education is the key.  For more information on services provided by the Christian Women’s Job Corps of Lubbock, call 762-3601.  The organization is also on Facebook.
