Five Cooper High Students Injured in Rollover

One Lubbock Copper high school student is in critical condition and four others are injured after a rollover on East County Road 7700 last night.

The teenagers, ages 16-18, were traveling back from a football game when the driver of the vehicle in lost control and over-corrected.

The vehicle, which investigators say was traveling at an unsafe speed, flipped and landed on its roof.

Two of the teens were ejected from the vehicle.

One was airlifted to Covenant Medical Center in critical condition, while the remaining four were taken to Lubbock area hospitals.

No names have been released.
