Texas Tech Chapter of Hispanic Honor Society Receives National Award

The Texas Tech chapter of the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society Sigma Delta Pi has received a national honor for its works throughout 2009 and 2010.

Based on reports submitted by all chapters of Sigma Delta Pi, ten chapters were chosen to receive the title of Honor Chapter.

The Texas Tech Chapter was recognized for their contributing to the cultural understanding of the society, upholding goals set by the society, and honoring excellence in the study of the Spanish Languate.

The advisor for the chapter and assistant professor in the College of Education at Tech Comfort Pratt, received the Jose Martel Award for being the nation’s most outstanding chapter adviser over the past five years.
