Senior Raider Duncan is watched for Butkus Award as top linebacker

Texas Tech’s senior Red Raider linebacker Brian Duncan has been named to the Butkus Award Watch List, which is an award given annually to the top collegiate linebacker in the country. He was also named to the Lott Trophy Watch List in 2008. Fifty-one collegiate linebackers made the list, including four from the Big 12 Conference. Duncan also was named in April to the Lott Trophy Watch List for Top Impact Defensive Player and in June to the the Bronko Nagurski Watch List for Best Defensive Player. The Baton Rouge native led Texas Tech with 88 tackles last season.
