Lady Raiders win first outing of four-game tour in Canada

Texas Tech’s Lady Raiders are off to a winning start on a four-game tour in Canada. They beat Vancouver Select 71 to 65 last night at the Richmond Olympic Oval, where the 2010 Winter Olympics skating events were held.  That’s in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Vancouver Select team was made up of former college basketball players as well as pros, including former Iowa State standout Lindsey Wilson. Canada native Christine Hyde led Tech with 16 points. Tonight the Lady Raiders will play the University of British Columbia at War Memorial Gym.
