Burning car victim known for helping the homeless

TThe man whose body was pulled from a burning car in a field near New Deal has been identified as 63-year-old Barry Ferguson. A medical examiner made the identification through fingerprint records. KAMC-28 reports that Ferguson was known for helping homeless people. Lubbock County authorities investigating the death early Saturday said no evidence had turned up indicating that foul play was involved.. Deputies said the vehicle appeared to have driven off the road and became stuck in the muddy field where it caught fire.
