Women will hit the field at Tech’s Football Training Facility

It’ll be football time for women at Texas Tech next week—at least for an afternoon.  On Thursday the university will host the Women’s Football Clinic to enlighten women who want to know more about the fundamentals and insights of college football. Participants will have a chance to talk to  Red Raiders’ head coach Tommy Tuberville and other coaches. The cost to attend is 30 dollars, which gets a  participant a t-shirt, a meal, and coaching instructions, all starting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Football Training Facility. Net proceeds from the clinic go to the Lubbock affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure for breast cancer research and for education, screening and treatment programs on the South Plains. Participants are encouraged to wear athletic attire for the clinic. To register, go online to texastech.com/camps or call 742-4260.
