A new Chief of Police has been named by LISD.
Mark Hinshaw, the current Director of Security Police Services for Plano ISD, was named Chief of Police at a meeting with the Lubbock ISD Board of Trustees this week.
On hiring Henshaw, Dr. Karen Garza, LISD superintendent said “We are fortunate to gain Mark Hinshaw on our team.
His caliber of experience and expertise in law enforcmet in the public school setting will be very positive for LISD.”
At his current position in Plano, Henshaw is responsible for a $4 million budget and 100 full-time employees, and holds a master’s degree from the University of Texas Permian Basin.
