A car crash on Interstate 27 at 54th Street last night caused major damage to a sign over the northbound lanes of the Interstate. The woman driver of an SUV which ran into the support leg of the sign was seriously injured. Because of the damage to the sign, northbound traffic on I-27 may be detoured today while repairs are made. TxDOT says the disruption could last several hours.
