Lampman Talks About Possible Allies

District 5 city council candidate Steve Lampman wants to change the math on the city council.

“We do not have representation, we have a 4-3 vote that continues, and at this time I am the only candidate in District 5 who will change, and I’m giving you my word — I will change that 4-3 voting system,” Lampman told KFYO.

At that point, the discussion turned to what kind of coalition he would build if elected.

When asked whether he thought of Linda DeLeon and Floyd Price as allies, Lampman said, “In a lot of the voting they’ve done in the past, I would agree.”

If elected, Lampman won’t be able to form a coalition with DeLeon, who is not seeking re-election, but Price will continue on the council. 

So, how does Lampman describe himself politically?

“I’m a conservative, Republican, also a member of the Tea Party.”
